🌍 Founder Profile

Jackie Mutunga is a social policy consultant, qualified social worker, and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), with multidisciplinary experience across private sector, government, non-profit, and community based organizations.
 

Jackie has provided her expertise to organisations in Nairobi, the United Kingdom, and Australia, bringing a global perspective to social policy, systems reform, and service delivery. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between policy design and real world implementation, ensuring that policy is practical, evidence informed, and responsive to user needs.

Prior to this, Jackie held roles in project management across the private sector and non-government organisations in Kenya and Australia, housing services and child protection within the Queensland Government in Australia. Across these diverse contexts, she has developed strong capability in social policy analysis, policy review, program design, and implementation within complex service systems.

Her experience spans project management, child protection and safeguarding, housing and community services and cross-sector collaboration. This diverse experience enables her to understand how policy is interpreted, operationalised, and experienced in practice across different systems.

Jackie has also contributed to initiatives with Save the Children Australia and worked with community organisations to develop frameworks of practice and service delivery models, aligning policy intent with frontline realities. Her work has involved engaging with stakeholders and supporting organisations to strengthen policy coherence, service integration, and practice frameworks.

In addition, Jackie has conducted research exploring lived experiences of homelessness and broader social issues. This work has strengthened her ability to integrate evidence, community voice, and systems level insights into policy and program development.

Through Policy to Impact Hub, Jackie supports organisations to review, design, and implement social policy that delivers meaningful, equitable, and sustainable outcomes across systems and communities.

The virtual hub further encourages policy collaborators to engage in online roundtables, creating opportunities for shared learning, cross-sector engagement, and the co-creation of solutions to emerging social issues.
